Who should take the course?

“Early childhood” is referred to the age group before the age of six years. During this period a child goes through the most rapid phase of growth and development. The Early Childhood Education (ECE) course deals with why early education is important and how you can care for, teach and facilitate kids effectively through these development stages.

 

This course is for preschool teachers, early childhood educators, parents and care givers of children within this age group. The ECE course has been scientifically designed and developed by Learn2Teach Institute with a special focus on early childhood developmental stages that enable candidates to understand stages of a child‘s intellectual, physical, social and emotional needs.

 

Content of the course (Modules covered)

This course will give you a 360-degree preview into children’s social skills, self-esteem, physical development, perception of the world and moral outlook as well as the development of cognitive skills. How to navigate the course?

  1. Watch the videos (not once but multiple times)
  2. Keep your note-pad and pen with you to take notes
  3. Research to read additional materials online or in books
  4. Once you’ve completed a module, you can take the MCQ test online
  5. Don’t worry if you don’t clear it the first time, you can take the test again
  6. Once you get through the test, you can go to the next module
  7. After completing the last module, you one take final test to get your certificate

In the Brain Development module, we are going to answer key questions like are the first five years really that important? Does 90% of the brain develop from birth to five? Is preschool really necessary? How to raise HAPPY children?

Developmental Milestones

In the Developmental Milestones Module, you will get a chance to go through significant social, emotional, logical, motor and language skills (covering all areas of a child’s development) that a child will develop between the ages of birth to 6 yrs.

Safety and Wellbeing

The safety and wellbeing of a child is always the utmost worry for both the parents and the teachers. Children’s health and safety is about more than just their physical wellbeing; it also refers to their emotional wellbeing or mental health.

Multiple Intelligences

Multiple Intelligence is a theory by Harvard Professor Dr. Howard Gardner, which helps us understand the unique intelligence in each child. Every child is intelligent, we need to understand which is the best method to create a learning plan which leaves no child behind.

Montessori Method

In the Montessori Method Module, we will get an overview of the philosophy and teaching style of Dr. Maria Montessori. The Montessori philosophy believes the child’s mind is like a sponge and they are eager to learn provided the right direction and guidance is given.

Storytelling & Rhymes

The Storytelling & Rhymes Modules is an extremely important skill for an early years educator. This module highlights the importance of narrating stories, singing songs and saying rhymes together and how they are great activities for early literacy skills.

Teach for Understanding

In the Teach For Understanding Module, we will learn about engaging 21st Century students to be lifelong learners. We will see how the traditional style of teaching involving only information being passed from teacher to student is not relevant anymore.

Measuring Learning

In the Measuring Learning Module you will learn the important tenants to follow while assessing a student or learner. The main objective of the education process is to ensure a holistic and all-round development of the child in a desired way and towards a desired direction.
